Auckland in Winter 1

In an effort to reconnect with Auckland City - my home of 25 years prior to going provincial 20 odd years ago - I spent a winter's day in the city walking around, checking out old haunts, and acknowledging the changes.
It is interesting that I felt more comfortable in the city than I have for many a year and enjoyed my day wandering about. The only downside, as with many cities around the world, is the traffic which gridlocks with even the most minor incident. I have to struggle through it on the motorways at present as I travel from Warkworth to Hamilton on business at least once a week and wouldn't want to do it everyday as I used to. When I lived and worked here 20 years ago getting about town was usually a fairly easy matter, it's all changed now.

Time to shoot a few snaps but still - Rather short of time at present with study and work but having a look at everyone's splendid images when I can.
