Kawau Bay a new dawn

After a break of over a year, I am taking up my postings again. After my mother passed in December 2018 (age93) I have moved to the family home at Snells Beach, north of Auckland, to take care of the place and do some much needed maintenance on the house and garden. I spent several enjoyable years in Te Aroha after returning to the Waikato from Gisborne and leave there with slight regret but life must move on. The home gives a pleasant view of Kawau Island and the Bay; I am continually surprised by the sunrises over Kawau even though I have been visiting here for a number of years to assist mum. The sunrises can be golden on one morning, peachy on the next and grey and ordinary on another, very enthralling. I am not a fan of over-saturated images, and they seem to be the norm these days, but the colors are so rich some mornings and don't need processing to enhance them. I find I am having to get used to working in Lightroom again as I haven't used it for a year or more - same with the cameras and settings!

Time to shoot a few snaps but still - Rather short of time at present with study and work but having a look at everyone's splendid images when I can.
